Mirage Building Photos
The Mirage can be built with either ply (shown here) or foam sandwich flat panel hulls. Unfortunately Mirage builders are too busy building to take photos, so please check the Romany and Flica build sequences, as the Mirage is similar to an open deck Romany or Flica.
Ready to launch, note the LAR keels and the rudders that still need to be fitted
After launching, but before rigging. This boat was used for a couple of seasons as a motorboat before adding the rig (hence the foul bottom)
This Mirage was built literally on a beach in Panama (the Pacific side)
The hardchine hulls are clear here, as is the outboard nacelle. This boat had one central 15hp. Alternatives are one or two 9.9hp outboards. If LAR keels are fitted then you can also use two small diesel inboards
